    Hi,
I am currently in the process of changing the flooring in every room in my new house. We have already moved in so have furniture etc in all rooms, and I have had quotes to carpet bedrooms, stairs, landing, living room, and to vinyl the kitchen and hallway etc.

The fitters have said it can be done over several days, and we are going to move the furniture around as they move from room to room. How long do you need to leave carpet and vinyl before replacing furniture and white goods etc?

Carpet you don’t need to wait but should avoid dragging any heavy items.

Vinyl it would depend. If it’s perimeter stuck then you can move it straight back but again avoid dragging items. If it’s fully stuck the adhesive manufacturers normally recommend not putting heavy items on it for 24-48 hours.
