Looking for a decent dust extractor vacuum to go with my new wirbel. Need something bit more compact than my 5ft trelawny 3 motor site vac  it's just too big for the usual domestics.

Still have my refina grinder so will keep the trelawny for that but I'll be also doing the grinding with my wirbel and want something smaller but still up for the job.

    Any suggestions?
    What Vac's are you using?

Pws do a vac for around 1k that looks decent so havnt ruled that one out yet

I've seen a load of festool ones which do look decent but which one would I go for, there's sh*t loads
M rated but even so there's too many to choose from.

Always thought them type wouldn't be up for a floor grinder though?
Thought they'd have to be more like the bin type

Think he’s got the ctm 26. Fine with the hand held grinder on tiles adhesive and concrete. Not sure about the big stand up ones

Festtool gear is way over priced The plunge saw is decent but All the other gear of there's I've tried is a bit pants. Their dust extractors work but I'm sure you could get something better for less coin

I use my old festool mini with my hand grinder, does the job ok, but it's a spare one and i probably wouldn't have bought it for that job, bona do one that fits onto the flexisand, it's bigger than the one you get with the wirbel and their stuff is usually fit for purpose, i think it's about £600

Preptec do a smaller 3 motor vac. Fits standing up in my Transporter.
Ive tried loads of smaller vacs and none have been up to the job.
I have a Festool vac that I use with the plunge saw, and a Metabo with power take off, but neither would be any good for grinding, unless its a tiny area
