What does everyone on here do with there tools to keep them secure, do you have a van vault, deadlocks on the van etc
Someone got in the back of my van today using a screwdiver in the lock and took my welder, Fein multitool, sds drills. Luckily they missed all my other tools that was lying around which cost quite a bit.

    **nts

I did have a vault but got fed up of having to take everything off it to get inside it.
I've just upgraded my alarm system up to now.
If I had a bigger van (currently a vivaro) then I'd have a vault again

Same happened to me. I didn’t even realise I’d been robbed for about 2 weeks. Loads of good tools still on the racks. Only took what they could reach out the door

    Ive been done several times.
Last time they didn`t get past the deadlocks I had fitted, but it cost the same amount to fix the van. They drilled the side door and ruined the rear quarter trying to pry the door open. That was in the entrance of an Aldi during the daytime.
Ive seen many van opened up like a tin can

I want a multitool, I’ll look on gumtree and let you know if I see a welder and SDS drill

Deadbolts are the first line of defence. That's the first thing I did after my van got broke into. He did return though and didn't seem to deterred by the deadbolts, until he noticed the camera I put up. Go on Amazon and get yourself a eufy cam. There's no monthly subscription, the cameras are battery powered (they genuinely do last a good 6 months on one charge) and have remarkably good WiFi range. Best of all they give you a near instant notification to your phone giving you a decent chance to go wrap something round their heads.

my vans got deadlocks on it and an s66 Starline alarm system, has shock and tilt sensors and you can adjust the sensitivity of them, tracker, app to view everything on it from fuel to what doors are open. It calls my phone when the alarm goes off, its loud enough to wake a street up too.
