Had a look at a job at the weekend and it's a lounge floor in bitumen. Curre try has engineered wood flooring down but she wants to change it for engineered herringbone which needs to be stuck down.

I've always put a dpm down and screeded on the very few I've done but is it really necessary?
There's no moisture according to my Protimeter.

Havnt really got the time to do it but it's for a customers daughter and she is quite fit and friendly :D

    The existing engineered is floated.

Dpm it mate. If any moisture gets into the floor at some point your covered if you use a dpm.

There are a few floated herringbone options but I’ve not fitted any as I hate floating wood

Yeah I'll go the dpm route.
You reckon I could get away sticking directly to the Ardex 1c? Sure I read on here somewhere that someone did...or should I just go back to being a plumber lol

I'm not sure if you could get away with using elastilon, if you really wanted to speed things up
