    hi
I quoted £95 to fit customers own carpet and underlay to stairs, which had 3 winders and bullnose. the price included gripper and single doorbar. the customer said i was ripping her off.

No another £50 if they want that.
    Grippers £15 , doorbars £7 per doorway.
We won’t do fit only though as not worth the hassle and no profit for the shop

Shops in my area charge around £60/£70 min charge, the fitters take hour or so and it's done so good money.
Personally mine is £150 min charge and it would take me that time to prep it correctly. I'm not ripping anyone off just giving a better service.
Depends what sort of fitter they want

It has to be worth your while, cant be rocking up sweating and bashing out a stairs/landing for £95, not for me anyway. Would be £125 cash and cash only.

For some customers it will never be cheap enough. When they start arguing about the price, it`s best to walk away.

try getting a plumber or electrician out for a couple of hours for less.
