Hi all, How much should I be looking to pay to prep a concete subfloor for LVT glue down. Approx 20m2
Depends how flat it is. Has it had a level over it? Is it already smooth? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It looks fairly flat, Ill try take a pic, but be good to try and find out a very rough price for best case scenario/worst case scenario - i.e needing grindign back it. Its fairly good condition as it had carpet under there before.
First thing you need to know is the moisture content in the concrete, if it’s below 75%rh crack on as Daz said around £300 is reasonable for a 3-4mm screed, depending on how rough it is you may need a grinding beforehand or a deeper level of screed, and then the moisture levels may require a surface dpm and changing up the screed used which all increases the cost, to gauge the price more effectively we really need the rh% reading from the concrete, some pictures of it and some measurements of the evenness. Hi mate, ill get some pics today. Is there anywhere I can rent something that I can find out what the RH levels are? Shall i use my iphone spirit level app to see different sections of the floor or will I need a long metal spirit level

I think its 80's or early 90's how comes? I had a surveyor out who thinks it just could have cracked and not dried out properly
Sorry for being pedantic, but can we stop calling it self leveling. I'm sick of customers assuming you just turn up and pour it out to leave a perfectly smooth floor. Rant over. It's been a long week.
It’s a bit like plastering. Some can get it flat. Some really can’t Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Level isn’t even in the standards. It’s difficult enough trying to get these shocking floors to sr1, never mind level! I prefer the term ‘smoothing compound’.
