Only a quickie, just after a quick bit of advice re underlay on stairs where the bannisters run straight down to the actual stairs and leave the sides ‘open’. Due to fit a runner

I have previously used Tredaire king style underlay, with it having a black edge to try and disguise as best as poss' and avoid any eyesores!

Just wondering if you guys have any experience with other methods and other ideas to improve on this.

    Thanks in advance!

We put a 2 inch turn on the carpet and cut the underlay 2 inch short on the open edge

I used tredaire or serenity on the last ones. Both black, think rubber underlays and work well

We tend to use cloud 9 contract 8mm or duralay durafit 6.5mm for runners.
    Both thin but dense.
Could you have them fitted Hollywood style (pinned under the noses flat against risers)
