    Hi guys,

We're installing new flooring over existing floorboards and our plan is to overlay with plywood (trying hard to get sp101 or lg1 if we can) and then we'll use Ardex fibre reinforced self-levelling compound to flatten everything.

What should I use between the plywood seams to stop the SLC from going through? Caulk, some strong tape, something else?

Also same question for damming around the perimeter of the levelled area? Would any self adhesive foam strip work? I cant post links but for example would the foam weathering strips work?

    Thanks!

Spread some feather finish over the joins and use mapei renovation over the lot. Alot cheaper than NA and a fibre mix

Don't leave gaps between boards Use making tape stuck slightly to the floor a few mm and to the wall to form a barrier Works a treat and very cost effective

No skirting on at the moment. There is new plasterboard though. I guess I can follow the suggestion of using masking tape. Thanks
