Hi, Help please. Just had some of this fitted to the kitchen, it is no pattern just a bit of marble effect. We have quite a few bubbles here and there and quite a few indents here and there, as though they have hit it with something. It seems they have glued it down all around the edges, not sure if it everywhere else is glued as we didn't see them The old stuff was just 'sat' on the floor with NO problems apart from age. Should they glue it down? I don't see why as surely it can't expand and contrast a tiny bit? Anyway they are coming back to see it Thursday and we just wanted to be ready. Mike
Hi We think it is just the edges, as there are bubbles all over (about 6 on a 3m x 3m floor) the bubbles are 5 or so inches, not just small, but as the pattern is just a plain mostly marble effect, you only see them with daylight at a low angle, so when they left it looked great, but if you lay low and shine a torch across it looks terrible, and there are quite a few indentations, from what we don't know. The floor is large sheet old chipboard that is perfect and flat, and all edges filled. The old cushion flooring taken up was dry laid and had no problems for 10 years, just replaced due to wear. Had a look at the Tarkett website, but they don't specify laying method, say up to fitter. Thank you for your reply Mike
That size I’d by putting plywood down and gliding all over. Can you post some pics up. Use Tapatalk app if easier.
No, it's not felt-backed, the local company is well respected and the guy's who fitted it been in the job a long time, they assured me the floor was OK as it was. I will post some pics tomorrow. Thanks again
It’s probably been rolled and supplied badly by the wholesaler. Happens all the time with cushion floor. Unless the area has lots of turns or awkward shape then they may have put the marks in to it when they installed it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
