    Good afternoon,

Couple of things I'm hoping somebody can help with.

We have been asked to fix the attached to a communal staircase. We will then be fitting carpet tiles and nosings. Does anybody have experience with this as I haven't! Any problems with doing this or advice on fixing would be appreciated.

It is just a block of 4 one bedroom flats, 2 upstairs and 2 down so minimal traffic.

Second thing....we are fitting an LVT in the flats and they have mentioned about a sound insulation underlay (approx 3mm) that can be glued down and then LVT adhered direct to this? Again, I haven't heard of this system so hopefully somebody can help!

    Thanks for your time!

Them boards I’ve used and we glued carpet onto them. Not sure how carpet tiles will work and you get movement on them.

the 3mm gear regupol or similar we f3 to the floor then a ps on top for LVT. Doing some on Thursday

That’s great Daz, thanks for that.
I’ll recommend an alternative to the tiles, they feel pretty sturdy but can imagine it being an issue on joints….you’re right. Really appreciate that
