    Can`t agree with that tbh.
We had an 8.4m saxony to get up to the top of 2 town houses today.
Try getting that up without so much as a mark on the wall.
Having said that slash marks down the skirts, if that what it is, are not acceptable.

Have you tried wiping the marks on your skirting with white spirit? Or even fairy liquid

Give it a go if not , quality of water based paint nowadays is terrible . How long ago did you paint them?

Apart from the doorbar being jammed in I'd say you will expect a few marks here and there.

Ok, the doorbar has been cut oversize and forced in. Its lazy.
The other marks, at face value look bad, but as Rugmunching says, some paints pick up everything. Eggshell is particularly bad.
Also, I have had problems myself where there has been no prep at all before painting. So the paint looks great, but as soon as the carpet comes into contact with it, it flakes off.
I think I would spend 10 mins, with a rag and see if the marks clean off easily.

I get the marks on the skirts but I'm talking about the little marks where I had to turn the brightness to maximum on my phone just to see a smear

Yes well its hard to pick up some of the issues through pictures.
Thanks for all input. Good to hear oppinions.
I am very much in the real world. And know we are all human and mistakes/errors happen.

To update: the shoo have been out to inspect, and the sales person/representitive of said company was saddened by what he has seen.
Agreed with everything in general, and said it has been left in an unacceptable state. Couldnt of been more appologetic, and is to contact us shortly with a resolution.
Either full room repair and repaint or compensation of some sort.

Depends on the paint, sometimes the back of the carpet can mark them theyre so soft, obviously thats a hook blade and as soon as id seen it mark it like that after being careful id have just top cut it all.

The doorbar one is from it being oversized, however if it was changed it is possible the one that was down before could've been oversized and thats what did it.

Handprints are unfortunate, but it happens, sometimes youre struggling to get something round a bend or lay it out and you misplace your foot and prop yourself up with your hand.

A mark here and there is part and parcel of floorlaying,im pretty sure it even says that in the british standards, its a tough job working with heavy material that wants to do the opposite of what you want.
