hello, we are in desperate need of advice.

We have had Karndean put down in our hallway and lounge.

Last monday the floor fitters came and laid the latex, the following day came back and laid the karndean. They didnt finish that day so came back 2 days later to finish it - brilliant. On arrival we mentioned a piece that didnt look right, they discovered that the latex underneath had blown. On further inspection it looks like its only blown in one area.

We are have been in the new build for just over 2 years. We rang our builder who told us the company who laid the original concrete floor we called them to find out which flooring they used. they informed us it was Cemfloor and it wouldnt need sanding back.

The floor fitters then came back the next day with a rep from the latex company - they used stopgap 1200. the rep was adament that on looking at the floor there was latants on it, which if using cemfloor am i right in thinking it wouldnt be. he also stated that stopgap 1200 wouldnt need a primer 1st.

We are just in a very difficult situation with half a floor fitted and companys blaming each other and this is not helping us!

Any advice would be much appreciated

Its always the floorlayers fault By preparing and laying a floor covering they are accepting that the sub floor condition and the prep carried out is suitable and correct

    Simple as that :(

Should have gave it a good sanding regardless.
    Could have been contaminated etc...

It sounds like they used cement latex on a anhydrate. Is the subfloor light?

Will always need priming. LVT wants to move with temp change and will pull latex off a dusty builders screed in no time
