We are installing a white oak engineered hardwood floor throughout the main floor of our house. It has quite a few knot holes and we are trying to find the best way to fill them. We have narrowed it down to epoxy and a product from Knottec (poweradhesives(dot com)/solutions/knottec). Does the Knottec power adhesive have the same strength and durability as epoxy? Some of the knot holes are 2" in diameter.

Thank you for your reply. My question was more to the fact if the knottec product would hold up. Are you saying don't bother going with easy just to use epoxy.

If you are making a sales pitch it would be a lot better if you just declared your interest and and made the pitch.

In answer to your question Mix & Fill is not an epoxy, The one from Bona is now a water based product and I believe that Lecol still do their 7500 which is a solvent based product. Both of these use the sawdust from the flooring installation in the mix which produces a very good colour match, and the finish you get is the key because your customer will be the judge.
