Plumber has put this water unfloor heating system down and left it to us to sort out. What's best way to prep this. Its 25 mm lower than the 3 doorways where marble is fitted and they want the lvt flush to that. 20220312_122750.jpg 20220312_122759.jpg

Either cement board and screed or just screed, if you go with just screed, i normally do a coat just to fill in all the holes first, then a thick coat, as I've found if you just do a thick coat first, it can sometimes run underneath the insulation board and cause it to lift

I thought about cement boards but there are various places where there's ridges and undulations. Is it possible to screed over as the foil parts are polystyrene

Could you put tile adhesive under the cement board to level it? You probably can screed over it but it would have to be deep. Maybe ask the board manufacturer if they have a screed manufacturer they guarantee over it.

Just seen pics. Surely you can’t fit lvt over that? You probably need a 25mm liquid screed over it?

Just looked on their website, it looks like that system is only designed to go between joists or battens, with a solid subfloor over top, so the insulation doesn't actually support any flooring, might be best to check with the manufacturer, to see if it will.
Another possible option could be to cut out the insulation and fit battens straight to the floor underneath, then board on the battens, although it would probably be a pain in the arse to do
