Hello I am looking to buy some kardean opus Argento from the internet. The price difference is massive compared to local shops £35pm cheaper.

When I was looking at getting this tiled we had people state I would need 70-77m2 inc wastage. My subfloor is a floating chipboard.

Would anyone be able to recommend a local fitter in the north West, my postcode begins WN8 if that helps.

    Thanks

Are you sure it’s £35m2 cheaper just for the actual product or is this a fitted cost.
Are you wanting standard Argento or herringbone

You should expect to pay probably £30-£40 prep and fitting cost, plus it's unlikely you will have a manufacturer guarantee with the product

If you buy through flooring supplies you will get the guarantee as they are karndeans approved online retail partner

So where have you seen it online and how much per m2 are they quoting.
Do you have a per m2 budget for the total project…. I mean it will need minimum 5.5mm ply flooring grade and if it’s very floaty even 9mm to strengthen it…….. don’t even try barter on plywood you want fg1 or sp101 and it ain’t cheap!!!!!
Did they give you a fitted cost at all, more info and you might get more answers

It’s £15 per meter for the product they only supply. The floor will be in herringbone but won’t have a border or strips between.

I am trying to find an installer, as for ply I will be directed by the installer. I have had John Lewis out who have stated 6mm floor ply. I don’t have a price per m2 budget I just want a decent job thats going to last.

Good god….. it costs substantially more than £15m2 to buy it in, and then the herringbone is more than standard argento……
Who is this online retailer, they either have a job lot left over or it’s not what you think or seconds….. no way is it the real deal at that money……. And if whoever quotes isn’t using flooring grade ply then no warranties are valid either….. it’s not just 6mm ply it gotta be flooring grade which also can be double the cost of cheap crap Chinese ply.

    So, the Opus herringbone...
I blew up about it at the rep around 6 months back.
FlooringSupplies (which is CarpetShite in all but name considering who we believe the owners to be) bought pallets of the stuff - it just doesn't sell...

Maybe if they offered it to retailers at that price, it would

I see it as self-inflicted cheapening of the brand - especially as it's bloody Carpetright.
