Hoping to move to a second floor flat soon. Floors are concrete and the lease states that we must use carpet and felt or another sound insulating product. We don’t want to annoy our neighbours below.

Has anyone any personal experience with soundproofing an LVT floor?

    Thank you

The only way to “soundproof” a floor is to add tons of mass and spend a lot of money thinks thousands to tens of thousands depending on the thickness and density of the concrete

We recently installed LVT for a client on top of Jumpax (there are other suitable products) that reduced the sound a little bit is a long way from sound proofing.

With concrete I’d go regupol multi, glued down. Then a decent laminate underlay.
