I'm a bit out of touch!
28 stair nosing's to be drilled and plugged. They are a meter wide, north London
what's a very good rate per step?
    Thanks.

Most new build would pay about £5 per step.
Personally, I don`t think that`s enough and won`t do it for that, but it seems to be the rate they put forward.

Thank you, I was thinking about £8.50 would be a reasonable amount.

Flexyfix them. Get a 15 year bond warranty.

Many years ago, a nosing came of a step in Cambridge, the lady fell and broke her back!
Fortunately; we did drill and plug every hole and F32 or (gripfill).
It went to serious litigation, and the contractors who cast the concrete staircases, eventually were found to be at fault,
it was the concrete that gave way.. if we had not screwed them tho ,we would have been seriously screwed!

Actually drilling the hole degrades the integrity of the concrete step. If the step is sound you will not have an issue, and you'll save time and money.

Yeah we drilled some years back on a commercial staircase. The concrete started to break up. So we primed them and flexy fix. Great glue that.

We always use flexi fix for nosings. Do try and get at least 2 screws in but you need a wide nosing or at least drilled along the back. So annoying when they drill them in the middle

    You don't need any screws
