Can anyone shed further light on the Boulevard LVT product.

Been quoted for this and advised it's equiavlent or better than Karndean / Amtico etc but better price!
I need to do my due diligence on this but sadly there's very little knowledge out there.

Is it an "own brand" product, a re-badge of something else or what?
Manufactured in the UK, Malaysia or somewhere else?

    Any info much appreciated.
Just don't want to invest a lot of bucks in a product that I can't verify.

Fitted a few times, always good to work with & a good thickness wear layer .55 if I remember correctly

Yeah it’s very good. It’s a j2 product. Goes together well and has a nice registered emboss finish. Not much board variation but a lot of LvT and laminate is like that

We’ve fitted a few and it’s always good. Nice thick wear later too, worth the money and definitely better value than the big brand names.

Thanks for the comments but, is it well worth the money?

Boulevard installation has been offered at £120 sq.m versus £80 for a Karndean / Amtico 'mainstream' product - same area, same sub-base to work on etc
Does it justify a 50% premium and, if so, what is so much better about it?

I thought you said it was a better price? It’s a better price than Most equivalent LvTs. It depends what range your looking. What Amtico and Karndean ranges have you been quoted on?

    Somethings not right.

Yes the installation fees and prep will be the same but the LVT itself and the adhesive (assuming they are using the Karndean or Amtico ones) should be cheaper on Boulevard.

    I’d get another quote…

The Karndean Van Gogh range has been the main one under consideration.
As we're not going for any kind of herringbone layout but a straightforward in-line plank layout the quote has been identified as not exceeding £80 sq.m for preparation of screed, supply of all materials, installation etc. The installer is a Karndean approved installer with multiple retail outlets in our area.
Final cost will be dependant upon the ultimate LVT choice but the top limit is set. Installer has already intimated that there's scope for reduction due to the total area being covered - there are multiple stages as we need to live somewhere while it's being installed so I'm guessing they want to guarantee getting all the job.
    Boulevard quotation is defined!

So which one was more expensive? The boulevard or karndean o_O ? Being a karndean approved installer doesn’t hold much weight from my experience, not saying they will be bad. There just better training providers out there & the karndean & amtico courses seem to approve anyone who turns up

    Karndean @ £80 sq.m
    Boulevard @ £120 sq.m

Karndean supplier / installer has been around quite a long time with a high street presence.
The Boulevard installer works from his nicely sign written van.

    Sod that, that's extreme.
Just go with Karndean, plenty to chose from...

That pricing completely depends on sun floor prep needed, what prep is being charged for and do you have any photos? It might be the karndean guy hasn’t priced for the correct amount of work it’s going to take.

Yeah exactly. Karndean approved means nothing. Sounds too cheap to me. Prep can vary a lot with LvT. What’s the m2 price for each of the materials then excluding the prep and fitting

£80sqm is an average price, assuming your subfloor is reasonable and just requiring a standard prep, he may be a good fitter, just don't assume that karndean approved is a guarantee of quality work, as the karndean courses aren't exactly pass or fail
