Ive had a tender through, for 3x classrooms in a school.
1x science lab in poly and 2x classrooms in carpet tile.
There are some site photos also, and all three rooms have woodblock floor, which they tell me are all well fixed, and they want to fit over the top.
Ive never fitted over woodblock before. Could 9mm ply be fitted over the top, fixed into the slab, then a coat of fibre ?
Could carpet tile go straight over ?

Or is it all up, grind & start again. As usual, budget is a problem !

Personally, i'd take it up,what is solid now may not be after you change the conditions by covering it up. Reclamation yards sell that stuff for over £30m2 ,so if most of it comes ok,you might be able to get some money back for it,if not, get yourself a log burner

Yeah probably a take up and sell on. Normally don’t have the height to go over the top of it?
No way polyflor can go over it. Carpet tile would depend on the manufacturer but I wouldn’t trust it

Depends on what it's been stuck with, if it's an oldish floor then it could be bitumen, which should be hard and fairly easy to sand off, just a bit smelly

Massive risk then mate. The woodblocks could blow as they won’t be breathing anymore

So, still no payment. They have now promised to pay next week.
Won`t be doing any more for them either way, so thanks to everyone for the input on this.
