Asking for some advice. I had carpets installed by Tapi fitters this week. Some obvious problems like a stain left etc, but I'm also worried about the way they've tacked it down by the bannisters. They told us this was the only way, but it looks awful in certain lights, surely this can be done better?

Any advice would be great! IMG_1204 (2).jpg

That’s shocking. Far better ways of doing it.

I've spoken to Tapi who agree it's a mess. They've offered a silver trim instead. What would you both recommend? @Simon Grimley @Rugmunching

Thank you so much for your advice!

A trim is one way. I prefer the Stairrods Ali zee bar these days as it’s a cleaner look but places like Tapi don’t carry them

Yeah a silver single nap will finish it, make sure they havnt wrecked the carpet from them tacks so check it when they've put the trim in and refitted it.

Like Simon says, the Ali zee bar is a good finish of you don't want the silver showing but I doubt tapi would know what to do with it other than use it as a straight edge lol
