    Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice please.
I was going to purchase lvt click but have been advised that it maybe not as good as first thought.
I just wanted some opinion on what would be best to go for in general?
If I went for wood laminate, what would be the best underlay for a timber floor with out underfloor heating?
    Thanks in advance

Karndean rigid clic or quickstep alpha are the best Clive we’ve used as they have a good locking system. Stay away from moduleo and quickstep vinyl clic as they are very unstable. They don’t like sunlight or heavy furniture and your floor needs to be prepped correctly. Engineered wood or laminate can be floated over lots of different underlays. Serenity, timbermate, etc..

    Which would you recommend?
I spoke with a company who recommended using the cheap foam underlay, what should I actually use?

Really! We use serenity under wood. Or Howdens 4 in1 underlay. Or heatflow for ufh

It's on a newly laid flat timber floor.
Swaying towards the wood, is 8mm reasonably good?
Got to make a decision as I have ummed and ahhed for about 4 weeks!

8mm is standard thickness. Will be fine as long as your subfloor is flat
