How do you screed ?

What do you use for screeding ? Most young fitters don’t want to use a trowel these days.

Masking tape and cam rake for me

 

Mostly trowel these days, can't be arsed to keep taping up skirts anymore, I made a mistake on my last one by using what you could have used as wax strips made a right mess, wickes defo had a bad batch of tape that day

 

And most painters don’t rub down so the paint is crap and comes off easy

 

Cam rake for me

 

I don't use trowel..just pour it thick let it find own level. .then pour next one by it and repeat until floor covered ....sheet of glass every time

 

...so you use 20 bags for a 50m2 job then?

 

Bet you get lovely smooth edges

 

Not sure I would want to be doing that on my jobs.
Would be bust after a week

 

I voted trowel but just used a rake for first time yesterday and found it quite good.
