I'm installing some herringbone by Atkinson Kirby next week and when I opened one of the packs to get some boards for a dry test run, there were no left/right boards and there's only one tongue per board on the long side - ie no tongue on any of the headers. I checked another box and its the same. I've never come across this before.

The fitting instructions are truly abismal - just one paragraph about setting out the crown line and nothing else - no diagrams, nothing.

Anyone installed this type of herringb one before?

That's the way solid herringbone comes, i take it you are gluing it down?

Its not solid, its engineered and yes, glueing down. Are you sure about that? Ive installed heringbone from other manufacturers and their blocks all had a tongue on the short end.

You can buy a slip tongue to put in yourself

This is what I came up against on a basement job when he shown me his choice but I told him to go with the other that has the 2 tongue
