Hi, I just had Amtico 2.5mm LVT laid throughout upstairs but we cannot find a suitable stair nosing. Was hoping to lay the same LVT all the way down the stairs and use Premier Bendybull (as the bottom step is curved). However the treads are all 27mm thick and these Stairrods products all seem to be for 22-25mm treads. As of now the top step is roughly 27mm tread + 6mm ply + 2.5mm screed + 2.5mm LVT = 38mm total. Any ideas for something that is wide enough to cover this? Thank you
Premier Bendybull 5mm is 37.5mm in total, is that not close enough? The Stairrods Ali Wrap nosings (26.5mm nosing) could be used for any straight runs then bendy bull on the bottom?
Where are you based Steve ? Better to contact a fitter to come out with both nosings and look at your stairs. Stairrods are also bringing out new bendy bull which is suited for larger depths. Probably available in a month roughly
Thank you both. I'm based in Bromley (SE London). I am just concerned that both Ali Wrap and Premier Bendybull wouldn't be big enough. They both say they are for 22-25mm treads and I think in reality would show the bottom part of the step. I definitely would need someone to bring it or a sample to be sure. Paul do you have any more info on the new bendy bull? Couldn't speak to anyone at Stairrods.
The ali wraps will fit your stairs if your treads are 27mm , the center of aliwrap is 26mm so I’m sure it will go on no problem , then 6mm ply and lvt on the treads
