dpm test

    Hello,

    I have a guy out to do screeding in a few weeks and tells me I may need DPM after they do there test, what is this test does anyone know and is it a legal requirement ?thanks

    Your floor might have moisture in it, if it's too high then you'll need some sort of barrier hence your screeder may need to put a damp proof down

    How old is the sub floor.
    Less then a year old it could still have moisture in it.
    Older then 1965 it won’t have a damp proof sheet membrane under it.
    We Dpm all sub floors older then 1980 in most cases
