Never fitted it, but it's probably more straightforward than it appears, personally, once i'd worked out my starting point, i'd tape down 2 straight edges in a L shape to quarter the room, then lay in both directions from the centre, so you should always have a L shape to fit the next panel to. At least that's how it would work in my head, I could be completely wrong lol
I find chantilly weave easier to fit out all the weaves but your right Paul, just need to keep it all square (like most designs) It's the cutting into the walls that gets tedious with all the small bits especially when it's on the diamond
What is the best approach. It is all in separate pieces and we have experienced issues with it running out. Each panel should make a square that is 610mm x 610mm. Issue is that it is very tricky to get each square exactly square. Another fitter said that you need to make each square 611mm or 612mm and lose any imperfections within the slightly larger square by leaving small gaps that won't get flagged. It is critical that each corner of each square lines up otherwise over the whole floor it starts running out. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!
If its running out that bad then your doing something wrong, it's fiddly yes but are you making sure your keeping square with a square template? I usually use a spare large tile or a few spare long planks. Have you made sure you havnt got a crappy batch? Measured the bigger squares to make sure they have been cut right?
I find most amtico patterns are cut badly. Always have to faff on getting them to line up as they should.
