    Hi guys.

new to this, but looking for advice having taken bad advice in the past on carpets going flat and feeling like a waist of money months after being fitted.

Currently looking for a good quality carpet for our hall stairs and landing!
Previous was terrible flat and poor quality but my own naive mistake.
2 kids and a staff at home that loves zooooomies up the stairs.

popped into a local shop who recommended I stay clear of wool as it doesn’t like getting wet and if kids if dog have a accident they it’s difficult to clean and I could damage the look.

They pointed me in the direction of Cormar primo ultra & Linwood but doing some digging they seem prone to delaminating? Can anyone confirm this?

another option is the abington ultra/twist 2 x thicknesses seems a reputable brand.

I’m going with all new premium rods and a good quality underlay as I’m fully aware good prep has a massive impact on finished results.

just really struggling as I don’t want to make a mistake on the brand and range.

Ive always liked primo ultra and Abingdon is a great manufacturer. Not sure about linwood.
Register the carpet online for the warranty if you use cormar, that will help if it does delaminate

Victoria heartland is a top rated poly and a decent pile.

Hey Pocus, Forget the names and brands etc. Just feel the carpet. You're looking for a carpet that is as dense as possible with a pile which isn't too deep. Rods will make no difference but it would be sensible to use a decent underlay which is around 8-10mm thick. Hope this helps!
