all, Installing a carpet runner on my stairs, it's jute herringbone with black border and rubber back, bought from Dunelm. I need to cut mitres to go around a few 45 degree turns. I'm happy with how to cut and fit, even as a DIY merchant, but what I'm not sure about is if the carpet along the mitre cut will fray after cutting. And if so what techniques/products I need to prevent fraying. I've bought the double sided tape to put under the joins and will be stapling runner in place Any advice and recommendations welcomes. Thanks.
Thanks. Do you mean literally just brush copydex along each cut? Or push the cut edges together then brush copydex on the joint?
Yes I have the seaming tape, was planning to do heat seam. Should I still copydex as well as heat seam? Thanks so much for your help, by the way
