Hi All I am looking to carpet 3 bedrooms plus hallway/stairs. My criteria is: - grey and soft under the foot - wont flatten too much - up to £25 sqm - I am open to using a different more hard wearing carpet for stairs vs bedrooms. Initially I liked the feel of INVICTUS SIRIUS however forum comments suggests it'll flatten after 6 months. With that in mind ive seen a few people suggest VICTORIA ULTIMATE IMPRESSIONS. Any advice would be much appreciated on Victoria ultimate impressions or anything else you may suggest. Thanks in advance.
Soft and won’t flatten too much don’t exist together, all carpets flatten and the longer the pile and softer it is the more it will show and quicker. A good twist pile will retain its shape (if well maintained) better than anything other than a flat weave, and £25m2 won’t get you a really high quality carpet in this climate especially something soft. Thanks @dazlight i will probs go first impressions for bedrooms. Would you suggest first impressions for the stairs aswel or will it flatten too quickly. I dont mind going for something more hardwearing for stairs if there is something you can suggest i look into. Thanks again
Hi @dazlight i got some samples through and i actually prefer ultimate impressions over first impressions, seems thicker and softer for bedrooms? Would you agree? For stairs/hallways would ultimate impressions be suitable with it being higher traffic area or would it flatten too quickly and should i consider maybe another carpet for stairs, maybe first impressions? I wouod rather use the same carpet is ultimate is suitable for stairs
I would rather use the same carpet throughout stairs/hallways/bedrooms if ultimate impressions is suitable for higher traffic areas like stairs***
