tucking tools

    What do you guys use for tucking edges of carpets? i use a lino knife and a bolster

    lino knife, however ! Rugrat has sent me out a plastic roberts tucker. Going to give it a try when im back on the tools (next week)

    i would guess that the plastic one is only good for tucking!

    yeah I only use for tucking never tried the lino knife I know a lot of you swear by them...and your probably right...

    Lino knife is the best tool for tucking, however its a slower method ! Not a problem if your a high quality fitter that spends there time. If your a fast poor quality fitter smashing out many sq'm a day then lino knife is not for you.


    P.s not using yourself as an example!

    Yes Al a lino knife is fine around loos pipes etc

    The Idea around the plastic tucker is to avoid damage to marble / sanatry ware or anywhere you feel the need for extra care. :roll:

    and skirtings painted with satin as they mark very easy.

    At times i use the guide blade of the carpet trimmer, does work a treat!
