I have got a job coming up in a games/entertainment room on a caravan park. The room is upstairs and is a square and 100 m2.It requires a seam right down the middle.Would there be a preference in backing styles taking into consideration that it wont get a great amount of footfall i dont think.Help please. The reason that i am asking is that there is £90.00 difference in prices.
i would be looking at a secondary backed carpet myself for better join and a better carpet in a games area. I take it that it will be glued down ?
I would think about using a dualstick (durafit ) system if its going in a games room if it was me. Fully bonded to the underlay.
I would consider double sticking , use durafit underlay.Tacifiy the underlay and use f3 to stick the carpet to the underlay, and use seaming cement on the seam edge f 30. You will need an applicator to apply the f30. If you dont double stick it the carpet will probably delaminate, and then you have problems. I hope that helps, Alan
