underlay

    am i alright to use foam underlay for laminate on asphalt floors and ceramics and how many 2m can i do until i have to put expantion joint in

    foam underlay is fine but it should also have a vapiour barrier built in. Same for the ceramics 'if' the subfloor is concrete.

    (dont use a vapiour barrier on wooden subfloors)

    As for Sq'm size. This can be different for different laminates depending on the construction etc. On adverage its around 10 meters in length or width but i would always check this with the instructions in the packs.

    yes thats my prefered underlay. Again it shouldn't be used on timber subfloors. They have another one that has the silver film missing. Cant remember the name at the moment.


    you can get a foam with vapiour barrier built in tho. I like quicksteps foam underlay.

    quick step unisound combi underlay is it seams a bit expensive compered to timber

    i think its called quickstep combi ?


    Sure its alot cheaper than timbermate
