yes it seems to be giong down the same road as gripper quality wise. You used to be able to cut it in wth a knife ( i used a concave blade incidentally), but know i use a jigsaw. Also it splits easy and like you say Matt ahs faults in it.
i was wandering, doe.s plywood come from the same place, so the suppliers have no options? or can it be purchased from other areas. No matter who you get it from it all seems to be crap. It seems to break as soon as you look at it. maybe its best to score the cut with a knife before using a jigsaw to complete
it can be located from dirrent countrys etc. But all the suppliers are turning to plywood made in china as its cheap. Same as gripper! I had a load arrive the other day that was missing its standards marks and should not of been sold in the u.k as "flooring grade"
Roberts are going back to all Birch wood ply for there gripper, going to cost a bit more, but it should take there gripper back to how it was prior to this mad rush for cheap cost cutting. Think they use Russian birch wood ply! Think it will be available in the UK by March. Current ply conains Poplar and Birch mix.
