Thats stagged ! Position the tools for the pic and get a good angle for the picture....... There is no fooling us mate, we know you really work in a chipshop.
Staged, how dare you, i dont know how you can say that! lol, Do you want salt and vinigar? Ps if you look, you can see ive used the speedcat
Alright Ian, which direction do you use your speedcat in - left to right ? I find it works better in that direction . just curious ! Cheers Ray
Hi Ray, im a bit of a pirate tbh, i generally us it right to left & left to right, however, i must admit that these days i mostly use the side blade of the trimmer, and sometimes use it to tuck as well, it works well, try it mate.
Hey the bloody things are 5 sizes to big, getting a new pair tomorrow. figure hugging for the ladies to look at my peachy bum, while sweating and fitting there fluffy stuff lol
I too tend to use it both ways although I do tend to find left to right works better for tucking. I've used it a fair bit now but still getting used to it. I often go back to my EZ tucker which I find easier to use. sound like a right saddo eh !! Ray
Thing is Ray these tools really work, god knows why people dont use them more, the ez tucker is that the one that looks a bit like a boomerang, red handle, wheels on either end?
Aye thats it !, except mine has a black handle !! I'm on my second one, the first one fell to bits very quickly but my latest one has lasted longer - great on stairs - straight or winders ! Ray
Yep i do now, i find it not only easier but also better - just took me while to get my head round fitting that way ! Ray
EZtucker has worked well on all types of carpets only thing i would say is it tends to push the carpet too far down into the gulley sometimes. Never tried it on domestic vinyl, however I did use my speedcat on a recent polysafe job to put a crease in the vinyl once it had been warmed up. I would say the wheel on the easy tuck tool would be too sharp for vinyls. I'm still experimenting with it really
What do you mean by pushes the carpet to far down? Giving you a dip maybe? Have you tried making your gripper gap a bit tighter?
If I apply to much pressure it pushes the carpet behind the gripper instead of just creasing and setting it on the pins. Its not a huge problem but it does prevent the cutter from working properly Ray
Jokin apart.I have a speedcatt and never used it along with the cutter.Welcome to my showcase cabinet.
Still havent used the roberts trimmer or the laminate cutter as of yet, might put them in the cupboard as well.
