whats you prefered subfloor prep?

    so how do prep a wooden subfloor?

    Do you plywood? Hard board maybe? Flex screed even? what sort of fixings do you use?

    Depends on the situation: what's the state/quality of the underfloor and what needs to be installed on it (floorboards versus design parquet comes to mind).

    Plywood has our preference though.

    i always use plywood. Hardboard is not really upto the job. I also use alot of the flex screed compounds on bad floors or floors that slope and you want them level. However its rare you need a level floor! just flat normally.
