I have always thought you could combine the stair tool with the nail driving bar as most fitters ruin their stair tool using it as an improvised nail driver!! Then we need to look at gripper cutters and add pliers to them in some way as fitters pull nails with them. Regards Rugrat
A box of mixed sized gripper cos iam lazy.Giant "mitre" shears for cutting LVT planks cos iam lazy and it would be quicker to install.
I bought a folding knife yesterday for £2.50 with free blades (is that same as free fitting?).It has a quick release blade thingy.Maybe if it could house a big hook blade i would use it all the time, just fold away in my pocket, easy really just a thought!.
Re-invent a small plunge saw that can get in all corners! (Would save a load of Feinmaster blades - boy are they expensive!)
Ye the gripper shears with a nail remover built in would be a good idea. I have often thought the same.
Yep that would be good. The fein blades are over priced. Maybe a guide that the fein works on also like the festool plunge saw would be handy. Its easy to slip with the fein.
Well, i bought the american broad gripper cutters off Ruggy about a year ago, crakin bit off kit, however, a tip for you i found by accident, open your gripper shears, to the widest position, insert a 1 '' create nail right into the jaws of the blades, bring the cutters together, nice perfect hole to remove nails.
Sells at £4.75, not worth renotching IMHO Or are you talking about a different type of notched trowel?
Guess they are talking a different type of trowel. Its 4 sided. The carpet/vinyl fitters wear them out fast due to the meters a day they put down compared to wood. Also as they are only 1.5-2mm notches they dont tend to last long.
