Has anyone used the DPM underlays were you lose lay the underlay seal edges with waterproof tape and the sick down the safety flooring as normal (no screeding) big time saving and makes it easier when it come to replacing. Rugrat
Isolator Membrane ? If so then yes, love the stuff. However it does have a downside that heavy furniture etc can leave dents in the floorcoverings. Is this the stuff you mean?
Not really sure what its called the rep just refered to it as a DPM underlay but the cost seems good. We are looking at taking in on board if it checks out. regards Rugrat
who makes it? F-ball or mapie ? If it comes 2 meter wide and has dimples on the backing its the isolator membrane. You have to use F47 adhesive with it. (pressure sensitive) Its not recommened for vinyl tile or plank tho. But i have got through 6 full rolls of the stuff now with tile and plank fitted on it. Its all about how you set the flooring out on it if fitting plank or tile and it will work fine.
Yes it has dimples so i am guessing the rep did not know what it was called or did, no suprises there!!!!
altro have a new product out called altro xpresslay where the membrane is already adhered to the back of the vinyl. you stick down the edges and joints to double sided tape and fit and weld in the normal way. its quick easy and cost effective.
