just wondering if its just me but..... do you find sometimes when you spread pressure sensitive adhesive and its ready to receive tiles its perfect and other times its just dead as a dodo ?
did a job today used karndean pressure sensitive, troweled and rolled the adhesive on latex screed i applied the day before, let it set which took ages, and when i started to lay tiles the adhesive seemed lifeless. swearing at it a few dozen times didnt help my predicament. has anyone else had this problem ?

had that problem couple of times with karndean ps normally when using a latex that is quite porus dont use it anymore prefer uzin 2000s, will continue to use uzin untill karndean go down the route of amtico and put a colour in there adhesive to make you buy there own.
i allways go for ardex na and uzin 2000s cant really go wrong with it

karndean adhesive is crap! Let alone they instruct you to use it in the wrong way!

Always roll the adhesive with a wet (adhesive) roller even tho karndean say not. PS works different to a normall adhesive and you need it flat without trowel marks to work properly. Also your trowel marks will show through the product in a few months time .

Use a fan to dry the adhesive. Also PS needs to be warmish to give a good bond. It also likes to be used on primed subfloors.
