ashfelt floor

    im doing a big hall in a school with polyflor end of july im having the floor ashfelted and they ask me if i wanted it sanded or not i don't no will primer stick to it with sand as i am screeding with fb 300.

    spoke to them they said ok to use fball 300 as long the ashfelt was flooring grade and was aright to sand as long there was no sand left on top.

    This is the weirdest we've ever encountered!

    Got a question in, someone bought reclaimed wood blocks and went through the trouble of removing all the bitumen from it. Then, because the reclamation yard said so:
    "that concrete may be a problem for laying the flooring, I laid a layer of ashphalt over the concrete."

    Right, remove the stuff from one end to add it to the other end - weird!

    Anyway, would the FBall300 sort this so he finally can install his cleaned blocks with F.Ball B91?

    Best to speak to Fball, new ashfelt etc may cause some issues with oils etc that will be present in new ashfelt.

    no problem the hall i did i screeded it the day after they laid the ashphalt,i used 40 bags, no come back yet, but prime prime and prime.
