do you lot use other forums for info like maybe a electrics or a garden shed roof you want to replace. I have been trying to find info on stuff like retaining walls (i had to have one built the other week on my extension) but all the forums i sign upto dont seem to like to answer your questions! Either they are full of people that dont know the answers or people who that dont share there knowledge. Im sure we are not like that here as i always try and help people out and i know 'us' as a forum always get peoples questions answered within a few hours. So whats up with other trades? Anyone else find other trades difficult to get answers out of?
we on about a diy forum for all trades, they have a little flooring section that i sometimes go on. Now i have been asking questions myself in other places like 'electrics' etc i have come to realise how rude and un helpfull the people are that use it.
Have you tried Ebuild? http://www.ebuild.co.uk/cgi-bin/forums/discus.pl Filled with people who are building/were building their own house, some traders involved there too. All are always very willing to share their knowledge on loads of subjects.
