latexing over ceramics???

    hello!! looked at a job today, which has high polished/shiny ceramics down customer wants da vinci karndean laid, would latex hold on them? of coursed primed aswell.
    if that dont work can i feather latex first, cos thats a bugger to get of my shiny trowell!!! :lol:

    Hi mate

    I have done loads similar to this,if you Abrade surface first,rake out any loose grout. then prime with 131 neat. i did use some mapei eco prim T last week on a similar job and it seemed to work a treat.

    Not had any problems yet mate ;)

    always best if you can get the ceramics up really mate if not arditex yellow bag should do the job

    is the ardex blue primer, cant think what its called? the same as the p131 neoprene or should i def use the neoprene! only ask cos got an ardex primer in the shed ;) cheers!

    I have primed with Ardion 51 primer (the blue one I had out of your shed) and then used Arditex NA on ceramics with no problems. NA is the no amonia version of the black and yellow original Arditex. It's way ahead of the FBall stuff in my opinion.

    thought i had one missing dave......... what about using some left over tremco latex??? :lol:
