whats your worst accident while fitting

just seeing who's had bad or funny accidents in their career, i'll start off i've got a few
1. friend of mine pulled back the carpet to slice through his man bits (ouch saw it happen)
2. Different lad using a chopsaw on flooring decided to slice off pinkgrip from existing skirt only it caught the grain and dragged his hand in he's now called oswald cobblepott (the penguin from batman).
3. Different lad again (god they're clumsy) got chinned by a customers Rott Weiler it left a paw print on his cheek of dogmess and knocked him out, we did tell them to lock it in another room.
anyone got any of their own i've got loads more

I was fitting a first aid kit in the van, and it fell on my head.

 

Seriously though i cut the nozzle of a gripfil tube, and instead of using gripper shears or similar i used my dolphin knife , slipped and went into the side of my knee. There was claret everywhere and my trainers squelshed when i walked .

 

I was trimming out a bathroom and stuck a knife to the handle in my arm.

 

Which arm do you have a handle on?.

i was marking out a template on a piece of altro once,,, using a blunt straight blade i slipped and took the corner of my index finger off.
i nearly swore and said damn it.

 

i've only been in this game for 4 and a half years. but so far the worst i've done was when i was fitting a bathroom carpet and as i was cutting the carpet towards me it slipped and dug right into my leg, just above my knee, wasn't so much sore jus annoying

 

wELL rONBALDO, i HAVE NEVER HAD A CARPET RUN RIGHT INTO MY LEG JUST ABOVE THE KNEE AS I WAS CUTTING IT TOWARDS ME but i can see it could be sore.

Ive had stiches in the leg, slip of the knife!! Stiches in the head, stupidly low porch!!

Worst thing Ive seen was another fitter stretch a carpet with his strecher placed a little too close to the limestone fireplace, cracked the whole corner off

 

You always chuckle to yourself afterwards and i once saw a guy kick the life outa the carpet and the kicker flew up with the square piece of carpet stuck inside the "head" now that was funny,and the fitter managed to fill in with another piece to look invisible.

 

Worst i know of is a fitter kicking a carpet with kicker and getting his awl right up into his knee.
He was off the tools for at least 12 months after the damage he caused himself. He may not have been able to go back.

Poor Bugger, hope he had insurance.
