Does anyone use scissors or shears? i use them when using underlay aswell as a knife, and sometimes trimming a small amount off carpet.
I onlysaid scissors or shears because some people call them shears and some scissors! Just to clarify
well it depends on what underlay im fitting. I use knife only on cloud 9 and soft underlays but i use scissors on duralay etc.
I always use scissors to cut a length off the roll, to prevent cutting through to next layer, then when laid out cut it in with a knife
I use scissors to cut any excess off when underlaying and cut in with my knife. I sometimes cut my carpet joins with scissors if I have got time!
Yeah if I'm pushed for time mate I butt the edges up and join them together with some brown parcel tape.
