Depends - as always - on the strength of the screed. Not in favour for using battens in many situations.
Neither am I. Im trying to convince a customer to get rid of it and go with a stick down floor. problem is they like the way the existing floor was surfaced nailed to these battens. I cant imagine installing a new floor in this way would work
After you've installed the new floor the proper way, give them a marker pen and let them colour in the face nail marks themselves :lol: :lol:
