Few pics of the prep and installation as advised, had to cover it as I fitted so going back for final pics when I do the carpets
I started by scraping off all the plaster and paint left on the floor by previous trades, which is pretty much standard for most jobs it seems :x (underfloor heating had been turned off prior to all work) Then the whole floor was rubbed down using a buffing/sanding machine fitted with carborundum stones. This removed most of the shiny top surface of the cemex screed. As mentioned before by some1 this does create a lot of fine powder/dust which blocked up the hoover very quick. Once all the powder/dust had been cleared, I applied a generous coat of F.ball stopgap 121 acrylic primer using a roller. This sealed the screed very well The next day I was ready to start marking out some lines and sticking down the wood flooring. I used a rewmar ms polymer adhesive and found it very good, it is suitable for most substrate including anhydrite screeds and good to go over underfloor heating.
