Since when is laminate wood? If we go this way, have it changed to: Wood = wood-engineered, solid, parquet. plus another forum: Wood - when to DIY, and when to get the professionals in!
yes a thanks button would be nice. Again it has to be programmed into the software. We had a attempt to install a thanks button before but the 'chat' box was causing problems. at the time i decided to keep the chat box as it used to be very active. I think the best thing i can do is to rebuild a new forum from scratch and get everything working before we switch over. But i have hit a problem there also, i cant find a way to transfer all the posts and users over to the new forum
this seem 's to a problem with a lot of fourms. I'am a member of other fourms where there are thousands of members yet only a core of twenty of so members get involved, that said i'am not the most prolific poster but i do like to keep up with whats going on. Not being on the mainland as such i feel somewhat removed when you discuss local companys and as for trainings days, well its not just a run up the M4 (or whatever) but I will when i get the chance get over for one of these days, at least put faces to the name's (second thoughts may be not) :lol: when you first said about starting the "looking for a fitter" section, i did mention that anyone wanting to be included must be involved in the forum because on a least one other site the only post's made are looking for work,often their first ond only post. you will always get members of the public joining site's to get the info required then only sometimes ever retuning and seldom if ever posting.
Matt, I realise this is an old thread but I'm an Administrator on another forum that uses phpBB software, if you ever need any help or advice I'd be more than happy to repay the time and help you give to others, I'm well used to sorting out the problems it can sometimes throw up. Out of interest, are you doing regular backups? I backup our site on a daily basis and save the file to two separate drives on my pc.

Matt,you can always be called upon for info on here when we need it, that is all we need on here nothin fancy but you need to get rid of the one secret that you are withholding from us.
