Just came on for a look. No posts for over a month in this section...Wow.. Hope its because you are all too busy fitting or selling.

Anyone noticed a pick up in their wood flooring shop? We are suprisingly up ever so slightly on last year by a small bit , but last year was pretty dissappointing by the stanards of any year before it it for us.

Well, hope you are all busy any how... The lack of activity on the flooring forum could be a good or bad sign ...

iN CONTRAST i think that it has become a bit more lively, and really it only needs a couple of posts a week from every visitor
and im sure that even the smallest input will get someone replying to it.Again i say "where is Owen Hynes"?.

Since this topic is part of "the public" forum you could wonder where the questions from the general public are.

On your note on business on the shop floor - picking up more since the budget went out last week. Seemed like most clients were waiting for something, I wouldn't know what, but increase in enquiries, increase in phone calls, online orders and visitors to the showroom. Plus, more important, increase in S&I sales. Could have something to do with the fact our Spring Offer is almost ended (tomorrow).

seems like we get one or 2 crazy days then , nothing.. No consistancy.

Monday , 2 staff in and crazy busy with orders... Yesterday , 5 of us , and hardly a sausage...

That is a good idea Martin, i am getting some tools now and would like to venture into laminate, although i,ve been into carpets and vinyl for over 40 years i think i could do it with some advice.

if you venture into laminate ted, you could do a lot worse than buying a fein multimaster
