I did a conservatory today in amtico spacia and used amtico HT adhesive.
I've used laybond HT before which was a pain as you don't get a long open time and the grip isn't great.
Anyone used f.ball's F48 HT? Any good.
    Or don't you use HT?

Quick question to get you all thinking.

You use HT in conservatory because of the heat changes? ye?

So what adhesive would you use over underfloor heating? Anyone know what is recommened by FBALL for instance?

Has anyone used the mapei vs90 ht? I have used it a few times and would choose it over most of the other's out there.
Saying that, since using F46 in my own home which has been down for a good 5 years without any problems,i do use it on most ht area's now!

some of you might be supprised that F46 is the recommened adhesive over underfloor heating.

Again this a subject where the manufactories of products dont actually know how to install there own products  They use there own adhesives in the wrong way to start with and i have proven this to them.

HT adhesive does work but it doesnt work aswell as F46, mainly down to how its applied to the subfloor.

And yes we have tested this, we have had a underfloor heating system up past 35c surface temp and dropped it back down again with no movement on the LVT product on F46. I have fitted hundreds of conservatories of F46 with no movement, i used to use HT but i was still getting slight movement on the feature strips.

Fitting areas that go hot and cold is all down to how you acclimatise the product and what temp you fit the floor at along with how the adhesive is applied to the subfloor.

So for instance on ply/ screed do you get the fans out and let go tacky after roll or just go staight in?

Roll it out,let it go to a tack and then fit mate. Getting rid of the trowel lines eliminates movement.

Im no big expert on this but last summer I did a fairly big lvt job (at least big for me !) over underfloor heating. As mentioned earlier in this post I did indeed call Balls tech advice and they did advise me that F46 would be fine. I was back at the property only a few weeks ago to fit some blinds and the floor looks perfect. My experience with LVT's is limited and I have only really done a handful of jobs, but I have used f46 on them all and find it really good to work with.

Got some work coming up for my inlaws with LVT's , gonna have a play with borders & 45 angles if they let me so may have a few questions of my own !

    Cheers

    Ray

When using F46 you must let in 'dry' before you lay onto it.
