Used some sound proofing underlayment today, good stuff. Called regupol multi You glue it down and can lay carpets, vinyls and LVT's on it. It stops impact sound from going to room below. Karndean recommend it. Good for flats in old houses.
The link is http://www.inspirednoise.com/installati ... er/regupol®-4515-multi-acoustic-underlayment/ That takes you through to the repupol multi which is what I have been using but there is lots of different products which you can use. But any questions about it best email Gary from his website.
That's it sandy. The job I am working on, the builders had put 6mm ply down all over as old floorboards. I they put the regupol Eco in the kitchen with sheet vinyl on top And bathrooms regupol multi then Karndean Spanish people Glued the regupol down with 44 and then f46 the bathroom, let it go off and banged the Karndean down. Will take some pictures of it next time I'm on site in may
I used this before think it was the 6 mm one in a block of 8 flats ply feather finish regupol then knight tile on the 45 with borders in all flats the builder supplied everything I just did the labour was a bit worried as never seen it before but it was brilliant stuff will def be trying to get customers that live in flats into it a bit more, Aparently so the builder was telling me it's good upto 26 decibels :? anyone know what the he'll 26 decibels sounds like a sneeze, car engine, plane? Went compleaty over my head
QA underlays do a decent range of soundproofing options and full ranges of underlays for laminates carpets and one specifically made for vinyls.
