Have used a small amount of this underlay and customers complain that it sounds like "screwing up a empty crisp-packet",or am i laying it the wrong way up.I got a sample card with the 8-10-12mm but it gives the BS5287 AND BS4790(2006) also BSEN 14499(2004).oN THE BACK OF THE CARD is a contract 9mm and the rep informs me that for 50p more the Caarpenter equivalent spec is far superior, iam puzzled as to why it (supposedly) has passed the tests but a far better underlay called "COSI" hasnt, even though these two types do not come anywhere near the performance level as expected by decent retailers/supply-fitters.
It reminds me of the Chinese imported rubbish but with a name on it.Trouble is there is a market for cheap and nasty underlay.
There always has been dont you remember the old Apolo black rubber foam and their was a black foam around recently which melted if you did any heat seaming on top.
